The Mad-City Ski Team did again be manage the event and we were excited about the new venue. Olin Park gives us the opportunity to do quite a bit more with on-water activities such as canoe, kayak, sailing, rowing, fishing and yes, of course, water skiing.

The event began with a 5k run/walk in the morning, followed by multiple events during the day. We had an education tent by the Dane County Lakes and Watershed, a talent stage for local performers to show off, a celebrity dunk tank plus lots of food and drink.

We’re hoping to cap off the day with a mini-ski show and then a good band in the beer tent until sunset. Mad-City has an opportunity to grow this event and make a real difference in the quality of our lakes.
